The Great Fall

There is a field
I walk its dewy grass

The chill in the air I barely feel as my heart calls for you

Surrounding silence howls so loudly declaring my solitude

I close my eyes drifting with the autumn wind

Serpentine winds that carry the now dead forgotten leaves

So I too, have fallen from the branches of your heart
